Christine Schörkhuber and Simon Whetham met in early 2013 through mutual friend Luis Toto Alvarez where the three of them performed collaboratively in a darkened room in Quillota, Chile. It was there they realised that through very different means, they were producing similar and complementary results. Following the concert they discussed the possibility of collaboration, face-to-face, rather than file sharing. The opportunity arose while Simon was in residence at Villa Waldberta, Feldafing, Germany through February and March 2014. Christine visited for two weeks for the duo to share time and exchange ideas, which led to a number of intensive and extensive recording sessions during which the artists pushed each other to create a work that is uncharacteristic of their solo activities.
A cohesive piece of electroacoustic sound art over 3 “Chapters”, this features artwork from Damir Radovic and layout by Phil Gardelis (aka Zenjungle)
This release comes in a printed 2 panel card edition of 100 copies with factory replicated disc.
Despite the bandcamp saying it is a factory replicated disc it is in fact a pro ink printed duplicated green bottomed cdr release not a glass mastered silver cd.
Cover: Damir Radovic, "Space strike," 2014, collage and black ink
Recorded at Villa Waldberta, Feldafing, Bavaria in March 2014.
