A classic TOPY scandinavia branch compilation back from the 1980ies. Dark noises from Eld-Omala, White Stains, Phauss and Karkowski. CD reissue of the Various - This Infernal Love Of Life, released by Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth Scandinavia in 1989. Digitally Remasterd in 2006. This album was originally released as an LP by Topyscan in Stockholm in 1989, In a limited. hand-numbered edition. Included was a booklet with texts, photographs and artwork by the artist. The idea, if any, was to invite artists working with sound and experimental music to illustrate the philosophical, emotional concept of the "Will to live". Eld-Omala and White Stains were based in Stockholm. Phauss and Karkowski in Gothenburg. One could say that this album presents a pretty correct picture of what was going on musically in Sweden at the time. Putting this album together back in 1989. I was blown away by the aural and emotional power of these evocative pieces. I still am. Great thanks to Dmitry Vasilyev of Monochrome Vision for nurturing the interest in re-releasing old musical shells like this one. Otherwise accumulating sand and seaweed on forgotten, faraway beaches. Carl Abrahamsson, Stockholm, March 11,2008. (label info)
