Live At Donau Festival, Krems, Austria, 2012
Full title: Live at Donau Festival, Krems, Austria 2012.
In a rare performance at Donau Festival in Krems, Austria in May of 2012, Tony Conrad (member of the Dream Syndicate project by La Monte Young), Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Psychic TV / Throbbing Gristle...) and Edley ODowd (Psychic TV / Toilet Boys...) collaborate to create a unique, completely improvisational soundtrack that is at once transcendental & visceral.
Consisting mainly of 2 violins, orchestral percussion and sparse electronics, quiet droning gives way to volcanic crescendos and back again, drenching the audience in a cavalcade of sound.
This is the only time that a performance by this trio has been recorded using multi track rather than through an audience recording.
It has been mixed to make the listener of this limited vinyl release of 500 feel they were actually present at the concert.
You can actually hear the rattle and hum of every instrument.
